About Discraft Joy

A Paige Pierce midrange with usable glide, gentle turn and a small finish. The Joy rewards smooth throws on controlled straight lines, hyzer-flips and touch-oriented approaches.

Paige Pierce named the Joy in tribute to her grandmother, Joyce. The First Run ESP release brings a 4 / 5 / -1 / 1 profile to her lineup. Discraft’s release description and First Run stamp identify it as a midrange, with a slower, workable feel that also fits many approach situations.

Flight and shot selection

The Joy is a useful profile for smooth placement rather than simply adding more throwing force. Its glide supports forward carry, the small turn rating gives room for line shaping and its low fade keeps the finish restrained. A controlled release angle can support a hyzer-flip or a soft turnover when the throwing speed is appropriate.

Flight ratings are guidelines. Plastic, weight, wear, wind, release angle and throwing speed can change the result. Turn and fade directions refer to right-hand backhand throws and reverse for left-hand backhands or right-hand forehands.

Questions about Discraft Joy

Is the Joy intended for maximum-power shots?

Discraft emphasizes smooth, controlled flights, hyzer-flips, soft turnovers and touch approaches. Its gentle turn and low fade make angle and speed control useful priorities. A more resistant midrange can be a better fit when a shot demands stronger torque resistance.

How can I check available plastics and weights?

Use the stock status above and the Choose your disc section. The plastic buttons update from available inventory, and each individual listing shows its own weight and price. If no options are shown, no matching individual discs are currently available. No restock date is promised.
