About Discraft Ares
A Paul McBeth distance driver developed from the Zeus foundation for committed, high-power throws. The Ares combines a high glide rating with controlled turn and a dependable finishing move.
The production Ares is its own named mold, following the earlier Zeus 2.0 development label. Discraft describes the First Run ESP release as more torque-resistant than the Zeus with a stronger finishing character and consistent dome. The manufacturer product image shows the current First Run ratings of 12 / 6 / -1 / 2.
Flight and shot selection
The Ares belongs in a power-driver slot for long hyzers, committed forehands and shaped flex lines. Its high speed requires sufficient throwing speed to bring out the intended glide and turn. If a 12-speed fades early in your throws, a slower driver can be a more useful choice for controlled distance.
Flight ratings are guidelines. Plastic, weight, wear, wind, release angle and throwing speed can change the result. Turn and fade directions refer to right-hand backhand throws and reverse for left-hand backhands or right-hand forehands.

Questions about Discraft Ares
Is the Ares just a renamed Zeus?
The prototype was shown under the Zeus 2.0 working label, but Discraft identifies Ares as its own production disc. It was developed from the Zeus foundation with a more torque-resistant flight and a more confident finish for demanding power shots.
How can I check available plastics and weights?
Use the stock status above and the Choose your disc section. The plastic buttons update from available inventory, and each individual listing shows its own weight and price. If no options are shown, no matching individual discs are currently available. No restock date is promised.
